RETAINER FEE STRUCTURE

The services listed on the ‘Services’ page are available to clients on a retainer fee basis. Retainer fees are based on the number of employees a client declares to Legal Sense and include permanent, fixed-term as well as temporary or contract/seasonal workers. This fee model involves regular payments (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annually) of a set fee to cover all work done in a 12 month period.

A once-off administration fee of R500.00 is payable in addition to the first month’s retainer fee. The retainer fee structure below will be applied:

These retainer fees are agreed to periodically and are subject to review by both the client and Legal Sense to ensure that clients receive the most value from the retainer fee. Retainer fees means more certainty for clients as their legal fees are capped at a fee that is set based on their specific requirements.

Bearing in mind the cost of engaging a private attorney at an hourly rate ranging upwards from R1200.00, we believe that a retainer fee structure makes vital legal services and assistance accessible and affordable to everyone.
